Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

1. Acknowledgment of Risk

By participating in classes at Fire & Flow Hot Yoga Studio, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in physical activity conducted in a heated environment (approximately 95–105°F / 35–40°C). You understand that hot yoga involves inherent risks including but not limited to:

• Dehydration and heat-related illness (heat exhaustion, heat stroke)
• Muscle strain, sprains, or other musculoskeletal injuries
• Dizziness, fainting, or loss of consciousness
• Cardiovascular events
• Aggravation of pre-existing medical conditions
• Slips, falls, or contact with equipment or other participants

2. Assumption of Risk

You freely and voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks, injuries, damages, or losses that may arise from your participation in Fire & Flow classes, workshops, events, or use of studio facilities, whether caused by the inherent risks of hot yoga or the ordinary negligence of Fire & Flow, its owners, instructors, or staff.

3. Release of Liability

You release, discharge, and hold harmless Fire & Flow Hot Yoga Studio, DLO Professional Services, and their respective owners, directors, officers, instructors, employees, agents, and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising from your participation in classes or use of the studio, to the maximum extent permitted by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.

4. Medical Fitness

You represent that you are physically fit and have no medical condition that would prevent your safe participation in heated yoga classes, or that you have obtained clearance from a qualified healthcare provider. You agree to disclose any injuries, medical conditions, or limitations through the app so instructors can take appropriate precautions for your safety.

5. Emergency Medical Authorization

In the event of a medical emergency, you authorize Fire & Flow staff and instructors to contact emergency medical services (911) on your behalf and to share your health and emergency contact information with first responders. You understand that any costs associated with emergency medical treatment are your responsibility.

6. Studio Rules

You agree to follow all posted studio rules and instructor directions. If you feel unwell at any time during a class, you agree to stop immediately, leave the heated room, hydrate, and inform the instructor. Fire & Flow reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone who appears unwell or whose participation may pose a safety risk to themselves or others.

7. Minors

If you are under 19 years of age (the age of majority in British Columbia), your parent or legal guardian must review and accept this waiver on your behalf. By providing guardian consent during registration, the parent or guardian assumes all risks on behalf of the minor and agrees to the terms of this waiver.

8. Governing Law

This waiver is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

9. Acceptance

By checking “I have read and accept the liability waiver” during account registration in the Fire & Flow app, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this waiver. The date and time of your acceptance is recorded in your account.
